An early Victorian longcase clock by JJ Deson of Cambridge, with a beautifully painted dial featuring a subsidiary seconds hand. 8 day movement with two weights.
The domed hood is topped with a decorative finial, above an oak case with mahogany-inlaid veneered panels. A well-proportioned and attractive example of traditional English clockmaking.
