The twelve-piece cartouche enamel dial displays Roman numerals and is complemented by finely polished blued steel hands, all framed by an ornate cast brass bezel. Beneath the dial, a glazed aperture reveals the decorative sunburst pendulum, adding further visual appeal.
The striking case is executed in the traditional Boulle style, richly inlaid with brass and tortoiseshell-effect marquetry and embellished with finely cast gilt brass mounts. The sides are fully decorated, demonstrating the quality of the workmanship, while the case stands on elegant 'C'-scroll bracket feet and is surmounted by a finely cast flaming torch finial.
The clock houses a French eight-day two-train movement with count wheel strike, sounding the hours and half-hours on a single bell.
