Description
French marble figural globe clock. The white marble base, with fine gilt bronze threading, set upon four toupee feet. The cylindrical marble base is decorated with gilt bronze mounts of swags and ribbons. The three gilt bronze putti, stand holding up the globe, which is decorated with gilt bronze stars. The face of the clock, with roman numerals in gilt bronze, and the hands shaped as arrows. The movement is of 8 day duration, platform escapement and strikes the halfs and hours on a bell. 16 inches high
